Travelling Back In Time: To The Era Of De-Evolution

Future sneak-peek of the world: After Corona has blown away all the cobwebs...

Imagine..
Imagine..
Just like in any sci-fi fantasy, One Day, you find yourself and just your family, the only surviving inhabitants of the Homo-Sapien species, waking up to the horror of finding the entire human population wiped out.
It's Time Test For Your Own Personal Survival Quest...
(Sounds Like Jumanji, Doesn't It??)

Fantasy? Horror?

My first problem is the depleting stock of human food. The scarce stock of foodstuff is easily solved for the time being; with me surfing through any shops, markets, malls to buy my daily essentials (without paying of course). I am now spoilt with choices but with an expiry date of perishability. Similarly, clothes come in, without a spot of bother of the price tags. No school, no studies, no worries of future, no worries of earning, no worries of spending, no worries of restrictions, no so-called "TENSIONS" !!

The most exciting part is I, now, have full access to all 500+ other houses in my apartment and even lots more outside. Even if I use a different one everyday and repeated and so on, I would never tend to get bored.

And as for the cars!! The houses provide me with an easy access to any keys I want. I, now, have 1000+ vehicles to call my own. From Honda, Hyundai, Maruti, M&M to Mercedes, Porsche, Ferrari, Audi.... any one that I desire for the day. Just drive any car with seemingly-limitless stock of petrol at any petrol pump on the way (of course, self service required) - till I run out of stock at every possible petrol bunk!!

We humans strive for education, power, status and money throughout our lives and here, we were, the richest people in the world, simply because we were the only people in the world!!

We would continue to enjoy this ongoing pleasure of 'Clean Drivable' roads until a heavy downpour, causing water logging and the attack of plant life on the poor roads. Supply of Electricity, TV, Internet and clean Water only till it lasts; Waste accumulating without knowing how to decompose itself;  trees, plants and bushes outgrowing in the absence of gardeners, no plumbers to fix leakages, essentials only till stocks last. No LPG or piped gas to cook our food, leaving us to resort to the traditional firewood and manure. It would be only silence that fill our home.

Slowly, animals would shootup in variety, size and numbers and the menace of insects would be an infinite torture. Snakes, reptiles moving around. Monkey and apes being our frequent visitors. Eagles and vultures waiting outside. Our home would start getting infested with weird and dangerous multicolored insects, pests and whatnot, perfectly painting scenes from a horror film.

But.... Were all those initial riches worth for a life like this ?? We would be left longing for friends, relatives, known and unknown people around us. Dying to see just one more human being on earth...
Were all those materialistic objects, that once gave happiness & mattered the most, now define the way of "LIFE" ?

It would be nothing less than a Jurassic Park, possibly dinosaurs would come back; or stranger still, a new life form potentially stronger, would rule the world, leaving us in sheer fear. The fear of getting stomped by a gigantic monstrous beast or getting killed by our own concrete and cement discoveries...

It would be as if we would be time-travelling back in time. Just that, this time we would be with clothes on, lights off and shrinking into nothingness.

Life is not a bed of roses and it will never be.

These times are hard upon all of us, causing a worldwide massacre and a probable unspecified future.

But even in these dark times, there are sung and unsung heroes, masters in every profession and occupation, who are not hesitating or thinking twice before fulfilling their duties towards the nation.

So a special "THANK YOU" all such special Rockstars out there along with the entire Medical fraternity who are striving to make our lives so blissful to still live in.

A heartfelt "TRIBUTE" to all those directly or indirectly connected with the yet-so smooth functioning of our hospitals, facilities and homes.  Even in these testing times, our entire Nation is united as ONE to fight the battle against COVID-19.

Jaan Hain Toh Jahaan Hain!!
Jai Hind!

Cheers!

  3. Yes, although we all do appreciate the healing aspects of "Our Earth" the lockdown seems to have brought about, the fact remains that human interaction is of primary importance!
