Bringing Humanity Back On Its Toes

In the era of technology, high standard lifestyle and luxury, one event has successfully shunned down everything - The outbreak of COVID-19.

The infamous Corona Virus has snatched away our freedom of walking in a crowd, freedom of faces without masks and freedom of hands that haven't been sanitized at least a million times or so. Its almost an explicit button of Earth to 'Reset', cure itself of all ecological problems and bringing the greatest creatures alive on it - The Humans - down on its knees.

Before the outbreak of the pandemic, humans had been spellbound by the urbanization and technological advances and had immersed themselves in the race of earning money, gaining capital and holding power.

The pandemic has left us confined in our homes and quarantine has become the key word. But is Corona that bad as it seems to be??

Yes, as sad and sorrowful it is, Corona Virus has left many infected and many in their graves, but thinking of the practicality, it is teaching us a lesson - That if we don't mend our ways, the earth will press its reset button, and we have to agree to its terms at our expense.

Corona Virus has taught us the new meaning of "LIFE". It has bought in the essence of frugality in humans, whether you are rich or poor, no penny can save you from this deadly outbreak. No common man and no global leader has been spared. Suddenly, money doesn't matter, power and capital doesn't matter, what only matters to every human being is to protect their lives and that of their loved ones.
Subsequently, many countries are practicing lockdowns, and the effects on the ecology is beyond price. Greenery is restoring. Whales and dolphins are coming back to the oceans. Variety of insects are seen and skies are clear of the polluted air - giving us a magnificent view of a never-so-starry night. Ages ago, what we had heard of cooing of sparrows and starry nights, of simple lifestyle, simple dishes without the 'extravagant' touch and family time - the children and adults of today are witnessing and re-living it once again.

Students that had been working all-round the year, endowed with pressure of marks and competition, have no care for the rat race anymore. With exams rescheduled and postponed, marks are no more the central theme of their lives. They are learning to absorb knowledge and parents are learning to value the well-being of their children over their academic results.

A  glimmer of humanity that was left behind in today's world is rekindling into a flame slowly, but surely. We are learning a new meaning of life- that had been unnecessarily filled with unimportant worldly pleasures that only distract us towards politics, riches, religions, stereotypes and prejudices.
So gear up, learn the true meaning of life, live in every moment, forgive and let go of grudges, spend quality time with loved ones, learn something new, break free of the monotonous and frigid shackles and soar high to learn that Earth is a beautiful place and its worth living.

We do not know, whether we will be Restored after the System Reset of the Earth's Software, but what we can do is to keep hope alive in our Pandora's Box, live life to its fullest, however it offers and don't forget to take a "BACKUP" of your newfound knowledge and learnings.

After all, as someone said, the world's greatest religion is humanity and a country's greatest wealth is its people.
